Apple Puff Pie.
We have a couple apple trees on our property. So I picked some to bake with. They are crisp and a little on the tart side. They are perfect for tarts, pies, and apple sauce.
How I made it:
1 square puff pastry
3 apples cut med/thin
Butter for spreading over the pastry
Cinnamon
Brown Sugar
Flower for dusting counter top when rolling it out
I dusted the counter top with flower then I rolled out the puff pastry till it was large and cut it into two pieces. One side for the bottom and the other for the top.
Placed it in the pie dish and scrunched the access pastry down on to the sides.
I spread butter all over the pastry.
Next I laid all the apples in a circle flat till the whole bottom was covered.
Sprinkled a cup of brown sugar on top evenly
Sprinkled cinnamon all over.
Add little pieces of butter on top evenly.
Then place the top pastry on and any access pastry I laid around the edges of the pie.
You can never have too much puff pastry, LOL!
Put it in the preheated oven at 350 for 30min or until brown.
